Koinonia Open House before the rush of students

On September 18th, 2009, we had our kick-off event of the fall semester, Koinonia Open House. All in all, tons of preparation went into this event. Here is a sampling of what went on: over 1000 flyers were printed, more than 50 posters posted, more than 100 students signed up for events at the 2 Club Days at NCTU and NTHU. Many of our own students participated and labored along side with us. They helped us put on the Club Days and helped out with many elements of our Open House, from preparing food to the skits and praise. To start off the night, our “in-house chef” Tim made a scrumptious meal of pesto with spinach salad and homemade bread.

We had about 86 students attending, with 37 newcomers. As with other Welcome Nights at our other Koinonia clubs in the US, our night featured praise, a skit, and games afterwards.

We were so excited to see so many students come out, and more than that, thankful that we get to participate in doing God’s Work and reaching so many people with the message of the Gospel. Praise God for this whole night!
